In the area of political philosophy and the challenge of proper connections in idea creation, we have Margaret Thatcher, former prime minister of the UK, saying, "There is no such thing as society" — a comment that might interest sociologists. Thatcher was speaking about what we call "society" as being made up of individuals. There are connections between these individuals, and to deny "such a thing as society" is to improperly deny these connections.
